Help! troyble getting Ethernet card to work on Linux
Hello. I've just installed RedHat Linux 9 on my IBM
thinkpad and I'm having trouble getting my Xircom Cardbus
Ethernet II 10/100 and Cisco systems 350 series PCMCIA
wireless LAN adaptor to work, so that I can go on the internet.
I've been told that RH9 should have the drivers necessary to get
these devices working but I've had no luck so far. Anyone has
any idea how to get them to work? Thanks in advance. =)

What error messages do you get? What happens when you try to connect?

Thanks for replying. Anyway, I tried activating it, but I got the following error msg:
/sbin/ifup: configuration for eth0 not found
Is there anything else I need to configure ?

Thread moved to Linux - Laptops. Member Intro is a good place to say 'hallo', but questions should go to other forums. This one fits your question best.

Finally got the xircom cardbus working, after much fiddling around. Seems like I did not configure some stuff correctly. Thanks for your replies!
