Help Installing Linux Mandrake 10.0

Hello I have haveing a problem with my linux 10.0 Installation. It will not install period It wont even get to the installation screens at all.I have had some experience with Mandrake 8.0 standard but it was the Bought edition with 10.0 I downloaded the ISO's off the FTP servers on the site and burned them to CD but when Insert the CD into the CD rom drive and hit the f10 button on my windows xp machine to go into boot mode selection options I choose Boot from CD\DVD rom drive the screen goes black for a second with and then flashes back to the windows XP to no avail. At First I thought it may have been a bad ISO image but I cross referenced the file size of the ISO's that I had with the ones from the FTP sites and they all matched so that was out the windows I then consorted the Mandrake product errata where it said a solution could be to boot with the second cd rom instead of the first one so of course I tried that and still to no avail.I have an x86 proccessor so that should not be problem and my gateway laptop is fairly new I just got it last month so I am lost and I am not sure what to do.I burned the ISO images with a burned called nero could this be the reason why the ISO's are not running possibly I tried to go and download a copy of WINONCD I think it was and ran across nothing but germans sites that did not make any since so I could use a hand if anyone is able and willing I would more than appreciate it if you need to reach me directly email debonaire52@hotmail.com Thanks in advance for your help

First things first- let's see if you can boot off of ANY cd. Maybe there's a problem with your BIOS or something. Or maybe a cosmic ray hit your CD writer just as it was doing to boot code and the disk is bad... But your first step is to see if you can get the machine to boot from any other disk.
