On which partition did you install UbunTU the first time ?
The installer give the option to use again on the old partition.
IN UBUNTU I think the option is called Manually Partitioning .
But you need to know whetre you did install UBUNTU for the first time.
Which bootloader did you use to boot windows and UBUNTU ?
IF it is windows boot loader somewhere during install you find a ADVANCE option this option give you the change to install GRUB every where you like .
If you use windows boat loader than GRUB should be written on the boot partition of UBUNTU

Have you tried using Recovery Mode to fix the problem? Much faster and easier, IMHO.

I try'd recovery mode, however this did not help...

I am going to try to do as the previous poster instructed.

I am using Grub as my Boot loader for both Win 7, and 9.10.

Wish me luck!!

In that case GRUB should be written in MBR and that is the standard option
