Having problems booting backtrack 4 R2 on Dell Inspiron M5010

I downloaded the ISO for Backtrack 4 R2 and burned it to a DVD. I switched my computer off and switched the boot mode to boot from CD/DVD Rom and restarted. After restarting the Backtrack4 bootscreen comes up fine and I am presented with all of the different options. If I select any of these options though one of two things happens; either I get a black screen or I get a black screen with the following message

Starting up...

pci_root PNP0A03:00: address space collision: host bridge window[mem 0xafffffff-0xdfffffff] conflicts with PCI Bus 0000:00[mem 0xb0000000-0xffffffff]

Any ideas?

This is my hardware setup

I actually found the patch for this bug but it requires patching of the kernel...which in all honesty I am not too familiar with. I guess the bug was found and patched after the latest release of BT4 and the patch has not yet been included in the kernel. Below is a link to the bug report. Another member of this forum suggested that I use Cygwin to patch the kernel in windows(I am not running a linux OS yet). I have also included the link for this program below.

Bug 17011: Laptop won't boot if I don't provide pci=nocrs on command line

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17011

And here is the link for Cygwin
