hangcheck returned true resetting wlan0

ok i spent a week trying to get my F5D6020 ver 3 card working on laptop
with ndiswrapper

ok it worked great. i was even able to reboot and such
but then i went to school and connected there and now it doesnt work

i cant get it to connect. the screen freezes for like a sec and what ever button im pressing gets repeated across the screen

and syslog keeps getting these messages:

Hangcheck returned true: resetting wlan0

eventhough i put a
modprobe ndiswrapper -hangcheck_interval=-1
line in my wifi setup

maybe i should just get a new wifi card instead of that old wifi 802.11b

i need help one way or the other ether offer a better card to get or offer a fix to the hangcheck just please help. =)

Update

ok i seem to have found a way (not reliably) to get the card to connect
only problem is that its only able to access the lan not the internet
im using a static ip because when i use the dhclient it gets stuck in a loop and
keeps saying:

DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4
DHCPOFFER from 192.168.1.10
DHCPREQUEST on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67
DHCPACK from 192.168.1.10
dhclient.c(2046): null pointer
DHCPDECLINE on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67
