Graphics & sound problem w/ Ubuntu 64bit on HP dv4t 1300
 

Hi Guys,

My wife gifted me this brand new laptop & I installed Ubuntu 64bit same day with out knowing about new hardware(unfortunately).

Although installation was straightforward, there was no sound thru' IDT codec. Then, I searched for Geforce 105M drivers with Nvidia- none available for Linux- 64bit, not even beta release.

Now, I am forced to use Vista that is preloaded.

Can anybody help out and save me from Windows?

I found solution for sound problem at-

Nvidia accelerated graphics driver 180 did the same on graphics side...
