Google Chrome refuses to use CM106 Like Sound Device

My Kubuntu 13.04 Acer Aspire One 753 laptop is connected to a Toshiba U10 Dynadock port replicator.

Everything (excl. VGA over USB, i.e. 'DisplayLink' in MS Windows parlance) works perfectly - Audio, network, USB ports etc.

Google Chrome insists however on playing all its audio through the 'Built-In Audio Analogue' device, rather than over the USB and out through the Dynadock's audio.

This is most annoying, e.g. using YouTube, iPlayer.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, where Google Chrome won't play out of 'external audio' devices?

Many thanks for any help.
