Good ultraportable?

I'm looking for a good linux ultraportable, preferably running Mint or some other Ubuntu derivative.

Requirements:
  • under 3 lbs -- preferably under 2.5 lbs (11" screen is OK)
  • 6+ hours batter life
  • at least 4gb ram / 128 gb+ ssd
  • core i5 or better
  • at least 2 usb connections

Strongly preferred:
  • More ram/disk
  • good trackpad

So far, all I can see that might qualify is a Macbook air (11", probably), which I would probably just use as-is. Is there anything else that might run linux?

See this link ---> Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook Ubuntu Developer Edition

I own the 2012 Sandy Bridge model of that particular laptop (i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1366x768), but it's not the Developer's Edition. Mine came with Windows 7, but I wiped the drive and loaded Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and it purrs like a kitten. I bought it in March 2013 and haven't had any issues at all whatsoever. I've also tested it with Mint and other Ubuntu-derivatives. It just works.

Thanks. It's very comparable in price to a 13" Macbook Air with the same options (although I think the Macbook's hardware might be better, e.g., HD5000 vs. HD4000). But the Macbook Air also comes in an 11" form, which is lighter.

Best of luck to you. I hope whatever you settle for works well for you. :)

Thanks. The Dell Ubuntu machine is pretty sweet (Gorilla glass!). Hard choice.
