i really want to use my laptop as a strictly linux machine, but i order to do this i need to have my gigafast pcmcia 80211b card working. anyone out there have a solution for a near novice?
Most Gigafast cards use the Prism chipset - no problem there. Some use Atmel, with which I have no experience but for which there are drivers. What's the model number or your card?
the model number is WF721-AEX.
i have a dual boot right now with win2k and bonzai (debian) that i'm not too happy with. but would like to just install mandrake 9.2 (not an expert, and am comfortable with it). thanks for all the help.
