Fedora on dv6516TX

Hi,
Has anybody installed any version of Fedora in HP dv6516TX?

When I am trying to install on it the FC 6 (x86_64), it is just ending up with dark/blank screen.

This happens when the installer is trying to start X server after loading anaconda.

The configuration is:-

Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 (1.5 GHz/2MB Cache/667MHZ FSB)
2 GB RAM
160 GB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
15.4" 1280x800
Intel ABG Wireless w/Bluetooth
LightScribe Super-Multi 8X DVD+/-RW
Webcam/Mic/Fingerprint-Reader
6-cell battery
Windows Vista Home Premium

I tried with these boot options:-
NOAPIC NOAPCI NOLAPIC NOIRQPOLL NOSMP

But nothing happend better!

Last time I saw this, anaconda was sending it's output to the svga connector on the back of the laptop instead of the screen.

On the keyboard there is a key (fn+something, on my acer it is fn+F5) for changing the screen from tft to svga and back. Toggle this and see.

Your other option is to install in text mode.

Thanks Simon.
Now I am at my workplace. I'll try your method in the weekend.

I tried fn + F5 (Actually fn + every function keys).
Nothing better. Screen is still blank after it loads X server.

Now, I installed in text mode and it got installed. But I want X also!

Any ideas?

That's OK... login from the text login screen, then enter "startx", and see what happens.

Yes.. I tried that.
But the effect is same.
The screen becomes blank again after I start X with that command(startx).
