fedora insmod problem: floppy.o

My new fedora installation hangs when insmod tries to prob the floppy via floppy.o.

insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.21115/kernel/drivers/block/floppy.o

how can I fix the above problem? I already tried passing --disable-floppy to grub a boot time.

I have a hp pavillion ze5500, no floppy

thanks
