Can someone pls assist --
On my Compaq Presario 2133ac system

I am trying to install Fedora Core on a dual boot system with Windows XP home edition ..
The installation process freezes within a few seconds with message ,
CD found
Choose skip to skip the media test and start the installation
For some reason , however when I try to press the keyboard keys to
move on e.g.
keys - F12 - next screen
<space > selects
and others , the machine does not accept the given typed keys ..

I have partitioned system with Partition Magic 8 ,
And as a test When I try to install Redhat 8 the initial process looks
good

Why does RH8 install ok but Fedora freeze ..?

go to ur bios screen and disable bios legacy support...will fix it...its not a freeze...its jus that ur kb isnt detected by red hat. i had the same prob with my nx9005

WOW! thanks for the tip! i was having a similar issue with an HP ze4560us and i could not figure out what the problem was!
Is this maybe the same reason that Knoppix failed to boot properly as well?
