Question Fedora Core 8 - Dell Inspiron 6400 Touchpad

Hello all,

I have Fedora Core 8 on a Dell Inspiron 6400 and would like some help
with my mouse. The touchpad inside the rectangle has a page up scroll, and a side scroll this is messing my mouse up and causing other windows to come up from the KDE menu bar/ or mess up my typing! Both Scroll bars are way to sensitive, Can this be disabled/slowed? Or Can I have the touchpads entire surface back as one mouse?

Thanks

It is controlled in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Look for the section like...
Code:
Section "InputDevice"
	Identifier	"Synaptics Touchpad"
There are a couple Options that should be able to get rid of the scrolling...

This should turn it off completely...
Code:
Option "UpDownScrolling" "0"
Or set VertScrollDelta to 0...
Code:
Option "VertScrollDelta" "0"
Or set the RightEdge to be way out there...
Code:
Option "RightEdge" "99999"
<EDIT>
I forgot to add... You will need to restart X for any changes to be implemented.

Thank You for the Help! I also found the 'synaptic' KDE configuration tool to be of great help as well. This tool has specific boxes to disable the vert and horn scroll.
