Fedora Core 3 on Medion Laptop
 

Hi all,

I'm getting a new laptop :) and I would love to run Linux on it, in dual boot with the pre-installed WinXP. Preferably I would love to run Fedora Core 3 for I run Core 2 on my home computer (didn't get to update yet). Has anyone installed any Linux on this? Especially the dvd - burner might be difficult to get recognized?

Any comment is greatly appreciated. I need to be a bit cautios because I need it in a working state. I have worked with linux for a bit now, but I am no techie person and am still very much newbie, especially hardware related. So, if you rate this high risk, I will wait till a time comes where I can afford data loss.
