Fedora Core 2 Test 3 doesn't boot properly on Gateway 675 Laptop

I'm newbies. I just installed Fedora Core2 Test3 on my laptop, Gateway 675M. Installation is fine and pretty fast. After installation, it asked me to take out the CDROM and reboot. I did it. But the system doesn't boot up properly. I don't know how to make it boot properly. Anyone can help me out? Thanks in advance :-)

The other might have a better chance of getting a reply...

The problem here is no helpful information. What's the boot error, does it just blank screen?

Cheers,

After selecting to boot fedora, the screen shows quite a few lines of text and then display becomes blank. There is no read and write to hard disk. I waited for quite a while but the computer is totally hang. I need to shut it down by press and hold on/off button. I don't know how to ??

try passing acpi=off as a boot parameter. A lot of kernels that come default with distros won't work with a M675 without passing that. It's worked for me quite a few time with the same laptop and then after compiling a new kernel it all works fine.
