FC2 crash HP nx5000


I'm running Fedora Core 2 on a HP compaq nx5000 with the following configuration (paste from lspci):

the problem is that when ever I try to run: mii-tools the system hangs complitly, I've try on every kernel version that comes with FC2 and updates, recently I've enabled the Intel Wireless Controller, but still hangs with mii-tools

can any one see why?
