Exclamation Fan not working under Linux Mint 13

OS: Linux Mint 13 (Maya) x64 & Win7 Home Premium x64
Machine: Toshiba Satellite A505-S6005
Kernel: 3.2.0-27-generic x86_x64

Basically, under Linux Mint, machine reports that the Toshiba kernel-extensions module (which I forget the name of, sorry!) isn't loaded, and I am desperately trying to find the solution. I depend on this laptop for my business, and LM13 is much less battery-hungry than Windows 7 Home Premium!

Fan does not appear to run at all in Linux, and backing to the previous kernels (I've three) doesn't seem to matter.

Trying to find help both here and on the LinuxMint forum.
