External DVD burner

I would like to buy an external dvd burner for my laptop but I can't find any useful information in the supported hardware list. Does anyone have an idea about which external dvd burner are supported by Ubuntu (or linux in general).

Please only post on one forum. This makes more work for the moderators and it breaks up the thread.

Most any external driver will work. Just check the HCL on this site.
