Perhaps posting something of an error message, instead of just "no luck", might help us to diagnose a problem. Maybe a model number of the netbook? And did you verify in the user manual, if it CAN boot from USB??
Also, posting follow-ups less than 24 hours after your initial post is quite rude. We volunteer our time here, and answer questions when we feel like it.....

I already described the situation. Apologies for the quick repost, but im impatient ( personal problem ) and i do appreciate peoples time.Apologies thought i said that when it comes up i get no error or anything...just a blinking cursor. that continues to blink and eventually moves on to boot from hard drive. (In which the problem is only thing that comes up is memory test in grub).

You described the situation as: "can't get it to boot, no luck". You didn't mention a blinking cursor, or any other messages.
I had asked if you're sure the unit can boot from USB. You say you can boot another laptop from the same USB stick you're trying here, so that points to one of two things. Either the netbook can't boot from USB, or the netbook is damaged somehow.

If you say so, sure.
But as I've asked twice already...does your system have the ability to boot from USB or not? If it does, then there are things to check/do. If it doesn't, it won't matter WHAT OS you want to put on that USB stick, it won't boot from USB, period.
Again...what does the manual for the unit tell you? Can it boot from USB or not?
