eth0 fails at boot...on a dell laptop

SO, eth0 keeps failing on boot with my Dell Inspiron 3500 (yes, I know it's an old laptop!). So, I've tried lots of suggestions from other threads, but the funny thing is that I can connect once i'm logged in if I pop my nic out and then pop it back in...any suggestions? BTW, I'm running fedora with KDE (latest installation, but not the test suite). Thanks

Hi again all - so i fixed the eth0 probleem by making my pcmcia services start before the check for eth0 runs, but I am still having the same problem with the card. It only works when i pop the card out then put it back in after an initial boot or a reboot. I really don't know why this is happening, and I can't find much on the web about a problem like this. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
