egalax touch kit settings for mouse click

Hi,
I have installed SUSE 11 on my laptop ( HP Pavilion tx1000). It works quite well. But, only one small, but important issue. When I touch the screen, I think the mouse clicks twice: once while I am touching and another when I am releasing. So, I am not able to get the menu activated. It shows up and minimizes when I click the mouse. How can I configure the mouse to have only one click when I touch and release? The same problem persists with all three mouse modes: Normal, Click on Touch and Click on Release. So, literally, I am not able to use my touch screen bcos of this issue!!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Unfortunately, that thread has been archived, and is no longer maintained. A new hread under the name of "Helpful Hints for a tx1000 (mark II)" was opened in January, with updated info regarding Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex, found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...galax+intrepid

For the touch screen, installation was easier than anything I've ever seen. There seems to be a pre-built .deb in the repos somewhere.

Im sure you can find a pre-compiled install for any other package manager or distro.

Good luck.
