E-ten X500+ Glofiish and Linux

I'm going to buy E-ten X500+ Glofiish and install Linux on it instead of MS Windows Mobile 6. Is it possible? Have anybody ever tried to make the one to be a Linux' handheld machine? What distributive should I try to install? All points of view are very appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What did you end up doing? If you absolutely need a smartphone, and the N800 won't do because it has no ordinary cellphone, you might consider the ImCoSys from europe. It's a smartphone with linux on it. Or consider OpenMoko.

Finally I bought E-Ten X500+. And here I found some info concerning Linux installed on the E-Ten G500: Handhelds.org - Open source for handheld devices . Maybe I'll find somewhat to implement ideas on X500+. ... and I realize that it's very risky to play with X500+...
