What are you backing up? Which operating system(s)? Size of drive? Size of drive you are backing up to? Which method did you use in Clonezilla? Since we don't know what you did or what errors (if any) it's hard to suggest what to change.

"I want to backup the whole hard drive to an image"

So that I will have all the partitions backup to the image including the system recovery, OS and driver...etc., in case I need to restore to factory state.

You said that in your first post and haven't provided any new or useful information. It would be helpful if you answered some of my previous questions. Sounds like you have a windows OEM installation? Have you ever done a dual-boot installation?

"Dualboot Ubuntu and Win7 on Ideapad"

I already installed dual boot and writing this with Ubuntu, I just worry that I could not restore the backup, I think it will make no different the size of drive to backup, it is the backup method matters, so I ask for detail in using Clonezilla, just ignore how I did that before and start from new, I am sorry if this is still not clear enough, thanks !

My experience with Clonezilla has been limited to cloning partitions, size matters in that case but should not with an image. Can't really help but maybe this link will?:

Might be able to use g4u or simply use dd with compression.
