Docked/Undocked Xinerama
 

Hello all,

I have an HP/Compaq nc6120 laptop that I run Gentoo on. I have 99% of it configured and running properly. My question is, is there a way for the system to recognize when the latop is docked or undocked so I can enable or disable the second monitor (Xinerama) programatically?

In windows, I can undock and it recognizes that there is no longer two monitors (1 laptop, 1 external) and reverts back to just the laptop LCD. Is there a way for this to happen in X?

If I can get this last annoyance resolved, I can finally be 100% functional under Linux.
