Distros for Toshiba Protege3500

Well ive tried installing two flavors of linux, SUSE 10 and FC4 on the laptop, but for some reason x11 seems to just. not. run. Can anyone suggest a distro for Protege3500.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Taintedhero, I have managed to install SimplyMepis 3.3.1 on my Toshiba Satellite Pro without a hitch. It's a Debian derivative and it works great. If you decide to give it a try, I hope you have similar success with it cause I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.
Kind regards.
