Dell Wont Install Linpus 9.4 Lite

I downloaded Linpus Lite 9.4 as an .iso file and booted and from it. And I finally got it to the splash screen with the progress bar, but my Caps Lock and Scroll Lock are flashing non-stop and the progress bar is going no where. My Dell Laptop is up to specs with everything and I don't understand why it wont install. My CD drive isn't working (don't have one anymore) so I cant use a CD. I am debating whether to try Eeebuntu while I wait for a response or just leave it for now. I was looking forward to have Linpus Lite on my laptop so if anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a kernel panic, you might need to get behind the loading screen to see whats really going on.

Yah, I did that, I found out that it "Could Not Find Live CD" I tried loading the iso again from scratch but still nothing, so unless someone has a workaround I have given up. I would love to use Linpus Lite but it seems that wont work, I tried Eeebuntu but since I have such a small HDD with XP still on it I didn't have enough space and I am having a hard time clearing the last GB. So if anyone can help me install Linpus Lite or a netbook OS, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I don't mind getting rid of XP, and I can't boot from CD or USB.

Sorry to ask first, but why can't you boot from USB? How did you boot the other ISO in the first place? USB should work - and making a bootable USB key is supported by many popular distributions. I use Ubuntu (full, not netbook) on my EeePC 701 4G, and it works like a charm once it's installed (I use and external CD drive - too lazy for detours...), but to get it on disk, you'll have to boot some system, if only the installer...

I can't boot from USB because my laptop is too old. Now I was thinking before to get a external CD drive and use that but that is going to be one of my last options. I used unetbootin which is able to mount ISO files onto USB or your main HDD/SSD. But USB is not an option nor is CD at this point of time.
