Dell Latitude e6510 Soundcard on RHEL 5.5

I am trying to get my sound to work right on RHEL 5.5 on my Dell e6510 notebook.

How do I get the beep notification? I am getting a buzz noise instead of beep...

Music and sound will play fine when I test it from system-config-soundcard. But when I hit the wrong key... it gives an annoying buzz. I miss the beeps.
