dell latitude c640 modem problem?

hello linuxquestions...
I have a DELL LATITUDE c640 laptop with pctel 2304wt modem.
I've just installed Fedora Core 2 and upgrade to kernel 2.6.7.
I've found drivers for kernel 2.4.* ,
but I couldn't find a method to use modem with kernel 2.6.7.
Please help me with this problem.

cybervolken; it may be new kernel not recoqnizing sound look thru howto,s
for help. unfamiliar with setup. newbie to.

I've read many howtos and searched internet.
The only solution seems to find a familiar driver.
http://zwering.adsl.utwente.nl/index.php?menuID=5 tells SmartLink driver can be used for
kernel 2.6.7. A tried but failed.
I sucessfully load driver support to my kernel but still no response from my modem.
Please send me your sugesstions...
