Dell Inspiron 1501 Wireless

I have just gotten my Inspiron 1501(running Fedora 7) w/"Broadcom Dell 1390 WLAN Mini-Card" to connect to my home network, but I have to run
Code:
service network restart
on every boot to acquire an IP
my home network is using WPA-psk/WPA2-psk

I have tried using network manager, but it errors on shutdown, never acquires an ip, and does not connect to network(s)
I would currently have to (re)configure files manually to connect to a different network

Does anybody know of any wireless config utility for fedora 7 other than "network manager"?

Yes, but I need to be able to witch networks w/o logging in as root all the time
I can connect to my home network fine

I would like a working GUI
wpa_gui requires me to run it as root, and even then it does not work properly
