Dell docking station

I have a Dell Latitude D630 with the Intel 965 Express chipset. Fedora 8 works great undocked but I do not get a GUI display when the laptop is docked. BUT what I can do is boot to text mode in the docking station, startx and then I will get get the GUI to work. Currently I have the inittab set to 3, any suggestions on how to get the GUI to come up where i can reset the inittab file back to 5. Thanks

I suspect that the answer may lie in your xorg.conf file. In order for this to work, I think the monitor that is connected to the docking station has be come first. At least on my rig, that is how it worked. I don't know if it will help, but the monitor section of my xorg.conf looks like this:

Code:
Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Monitor1"
    VendorName "Unknown"
    ModelName "DFP-2"
    HorizSync 30.0 - 75.0
    VertRefresh 60.0
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Monitor0"
    VendorName "Unknown"
    ModelName "LPL"
    HorizSync 30.0 - 75.0
    VertRefresh 60.0
EndSection
In my case, Monitor 1 is attached to the docking station and Monitor0 is the laptop monitor.
