Dell D600 reboots fail when laptop is warm
Hi,
I have my Dell D600 laptop running rather well with kernel 2.6.4 and
acpi a lot of help from sites like Emmanuel Thome's "Dell D600 Tips".
My one big problem is with warm boots. If the system is cold, it boots
just fine. But if it has been running more than 10 or 15 minutes and the
case has gotten a little warm, the system hangs jduring reboots just before
I would normally see the message "acpid: acpid startup succeeded".
When this happens, I have to power down the laptop, wait about 10 minutes, and
then the thing boots normally, except for the whining about not being shutdown properly.
I am running acpid 1.0.3.
kernel 2.6.4 was installed on top of an RH9 installation.
Any ideas?
