Debian, 1400*1050 Panel on Ati M10

Whenever i try and change screen resolution from 800*600, i get multiple instances of the desktop paved on my screen.

I`ve run dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg , however 1400*1050 is not listed.

I`ve tried 1024*768, 1280*1024 and i have the same problem.

i`ve searched these forums (its hard to describe for a search, so sorry if its already been covered)

Thanks,
Shaun
