d610 video driver....help?
 

hello everyone,

I have a client that has a dell d610, i installed fedora c4 and the lcd screen wont come out correctly, everytime is boots it shows a bunch of lines, unless i have a external monitor connected to the laptop, once i toggle by pressing FN & CRT/LCD the screen works fine. the video chip is intel 915gm/gms, 910gml express chip. i went to intel's website and downloaded some driver but nothing work. please i really need to get this client up and running asap.

i have already read some other post, but cant seem to work.

I can only say that SuSE 10.1A3 worked for me just out of the box /with 1280x1024/. To enhance res to 1400x1050 I downloaded small patch but that's it. No struggle.

All I want to find out now is how to enable tv-out.
