connection timeout; no servers could be reached for node2

Hello

I'm quite new to Linux and trying to setup two oracle linux 6.4 vm using virtualbox from my windows 7. I'm using Dual DHCP DNS Service on my windows 7 for DNS service.
From node1, I can do nslookup successfully
[root@ol6-121-rac1]nslookup ols-121-rac1
server: 192.168.56.1
Address: 192.168.56.1#53

Name: ol6-121-rac1.workgroup
Address: 192.168.56.101

From node2, I can't
[root@ol6-121-rac2]nslookup ols-121-rac1
;; connection timed out; trying next origin
;; conenction timed out; no servers could be reached

Tne /etc/resolv.conf entries on both nodes are
search workgroup
nameserver 192.168.56.1

and i have disabled firewall on both nodes.

The Dual DHCP DNS Service config file has the entries below

Hi welcome to LQ.

Just one primar before we start. Please use code tags. Makes things more readable.

As the error on node2 says it can't reach any server I'd say the network setup is not quite right. Can you please give the output of
Code:
ip addr
ip route
and also please recheck /etc/resolv.conf settings. There is an option to nslookup to give the server to be queried directly. Maybe use it so we can rule out any configuration misbehaviour.
