Configure External Monitor with the laptop's display broken?

Hello beautiful open source community!

Here goes my first question ever:

I have used my laptop (Gateway NV5387u) with Linux 9.4 Ubuntu sharing screens with an external monitor before. The first time I had to set it up, and aftewards everytime I would plug an external monitor it would automatically recognize it and it would keep the sam econfiguration: main screen on the laptop display (MS2285 LED 15.6") and "an extension to the right side" of the screen on my external monitor (Samsung 17"). Lovely how Linux taught me how beautiful life could be!

Now, I have the laptop's display completly broken (cat broke it)... so now I can only see this "extension" of the screen and the pointer only.

How could I do to setup the system as to recognize the external monitor as the primary with out being able to see... any useful commands to have the Terminal take care of that? or a combination of keys?

Thanks!

p.d. sorrry if you need more details. I will answer all questions if any.

You should be able to use the Fn + F4 button to switch the laptop's video output to the external screen.
