Compaq Presario 1275 w/ AMD K6-2+ running Slackware Linux

Has anyone tried this? I tried this before but it was under Window$. There was a software utility that I could use to tweak the processor since the BIOS doesn't fully maximize its potential. Currently, I'm thinking of doing the same thing with Slackware Linux. The processor will run fine without the tweaks, but it can perform a bit better with them. Is there such a utility for Linux that could do the tweaking?

BTW, the Compaq Presario 1275 was designed for the K6-2 366 (that's without a plus). So plugging in a K6-2+ required me to set the right voltage for the processor. Also, the motherboard only supports a 66 mhz bus, so I can only maximize my K6-2+ 500 by running it at 400 mhz.
