Compaq n600c multiport wireless under FC3
I'm currently struggling to get my Compaq multiport wireless adapter working with linux-wlan under FC3 with the 2.6.10 kernel. I've installed the linux-wlan-ng drivers (0.2.1pre25) with USB support to no avail. The green light on the adapter does not come on and attempting to get an IP through wlan0 during boot fails. The adapter does show up in the Hardware Browser under "Unknown Devices" when switched on via fn-F2. The Browser also reports that the driver is prism2_usb, but there is no 'device:' line like there is for my wired adapter.
I was looking at installing the orinoco-usb drivers, but it turns out that those are in the kernel already so they won't help. I've reached a wall here and would appreciate any help. I've done plenty of googling to no avail. All of the linux-on-n600c pages deal with an older kernel and all of them claim that linux-wlan should work. I know I'm doing something wrong but I have no idea what.
