CNET wireless card working under linux

Hello everyone,

I've just purchased a new pcmcia cnet wireless card model cwc 854 and rather foolishly, i didn't check for relevant linux support before buying it (it was at a good price, so i just bought it =( ) anyways, i came home and couldn't find that card on any known list of supported cards under linux.

I was just wondering if anyone has successfully been able to get the card working under linux (i use mandrake 10.0 official, kernel 2.6.3)? If not, can anyone provide ideas of where i can get started to get this thing working. I don't want to go out and buy a new card..and i most definitely don't want to use windows

Thanks in advance!!

Check out http://bro1.centras.info/linux_cnet_cwc-854.html

or http://www.ralinktech.com.tw/drivers...TA-1.4.5.0.zip

I have myself a cwc-854, untill now it doesnt work with FC3 or Debian / Ubuntu but I just started trying out.

If you have some progress, please report...
