Chinese laptop "Founder"," unichrome Pro" graph card drivers?
Hello, I live in China and bought a Founder laptop, Beijing University makes these, and I am having trouble finding the right driver for the graph card witch is a "VIA Technologies. inc Unichrome Pro GP" with a "First international" subsystem.
My screen resolution is 800x600 and teh refresh rate is 61. I can not change these settings so I think I need a different driver.
Does anyone have an idea how or where to find an appropriate solution?
Thank you

Verify your chipset doing
Code:
lspci -s `lspci | grep -i vga.*contr | awk '{print $1}'` -v -v
,
1. then check the LQ HCL ( http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/) for clues,
2. or check http://tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Hardware-HOWTO/ (since the Unichrome driver is mentioned under "via" chipsets),
3. or look for X11 / Xorg Unichrome / OpenChrome driver in your distribution's repository.

Founder chipset and graph card
Hello. thank you for your help.
I went to this page, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenChrome , and I followed al the steps but the screen resolution is only changeable to 800*600 the normal screen resolution should be a lot higher. And the 3d application can not be loaded. Perhaps these problems are related.
How can I solve this mystery?
