Change behaviour of "Sleep" button on laptop under Fedora 7

I've recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1420n, which came with Ubuntu but I now have running Fedora. The default behaviour of the "Sleep" button above the keyboard is to bring up the "Log out" dialogue box. Is there any way I can change this so it either (a) brings up the "Shut down" dialogue box, or if that's not possible, puts the laptop into hibernate?

I've googled around and I couldn't find an obvious solution...

Thanks
David

I've only used Ubuntu a little bit so I don't know the details about this, if you know where to set keyboard shortcuts you may be able to disable or change the current action.

If you can't change it that way try this: open a terminal window and type xev to start an event monitor. Now when you press the button you'll find out the keycode for it. Next, with the keycode you can edit the file called ~/.Xresources like so

keycode xxx: programname

Where 'programname' is what you want it to do. You would have logout and back in for it to take effect. I might be wrong about the syntax since I don't have Linux in front of me at the moment.
