cannot get dhcp address wireless

I have a HP ze4430us laptop. No matter which distro I install I run into the same problem. I cannot get a dhcp address. Also if I configure an address manually I cannot ping anything on the network segment. The wireless card work fine when the laptop runs in XP ( I have it set up for dual boot. I am running an Aironet 350 which is installed fine. When the system boots up I see a dhcp discover go out to my dhcp server, it sends back an offer, but the laptop times out from not receiving an ack. The only thing wierd that I see is that the discover comes form eth0. My ethernet wireless card is eth1. The discover says eth0 and it shows my mc id for eth1. Don't know,,I'm lost with this one,,any help would be greatly appreciated

it seems your system is giving you the clue.. you need to get that wireless over to eth0.

or.. make sure you have eth1 set for dhcp.

does your bios have any settings for your net cards? if so make sure they are set properly.

good luck.

Does your wireless card work under linux? Can you see the network (type #iwlist eth1 scan).

Best,
Ott
