can not find XF86Config


Hello i have a small problem. I am trying to setup my Microsoft Starck (optical) mouse. I have tried to find the XF86Config file in the /etc/X11 folder but i don not see anything there exept forders.

I have archlinux with xfce4 and gnome desktop.

try xorg.conf, depending on the distro age you could be using xorg.

I have tried that and i can not find this file.
Here you can what i receive when I give ls /mnt/X11

Xsession.d fs proxymngr sessions xdm xkb xsm
app-defaults lbxproxy rstart twm xinit xserver

x server works

yes X server works and i have gnome as desktop manager.

This command should report where the config file is.

Code:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log|grep -i config
If there isn't a file Xorg.0.log, tryy XFree86.0.log. Or, take a look in /var/log to see what IS there.
