Can't get plasma recognized
Hello all...I recently installed Madriva LE 2005 (10.2) on my Gateway laptop. Everything's gone great, better than great really, but I'm having one problem that's really vexing me.
I have a 42" Gateway Plasma that I usually hook my laptop up to to watch movies on. For some reason when I plug my laptop into the plasma the plasma displays a flashing "NOT SUPPORTED" on the screen. When I press Fn+F3 (the LCD/CRT button combo on my laptop) nothing happens.
The laptop is running an ATI Radeon Mobility 9600 (M10) NP(AGP) graphics card. When I did the install I didn't see a driver for this exact graphics card, so I went with the default ATI Radeon (fglrx) option...don't know if this has anything to do with it. Everything else runs fine, graphics wise...I have it running at 1600x1200 (if that helps).
I'm in a 4 laptop home and I've just made 2 of those linux...I'd really like to get rid of Windows on all of them, but this is the only thing keeping me from doing so.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the cause of this or how to fix it? I've spent the last few days poking around Linux and the internet ooking for anything that might remedy this problem to no avail...I'm hoping one of you gurus might be able to shed some light on this for me.
Thanks for any help!!
