Can't use Xfree with ATI IGP 345
 

Hi,
I can't use xfree on my Sony Vaio laptop with Ati IGI 345.

I read some hints around for the IGI 340 but some few for this 345....:scratch:
Anyway, can someone tell me if I have just to recompile the kernel to 2.6, apply some patch to the kernel or to Xfreeserver...??

I made a search but the only patch available is for a 2.4 version of the kernel...

try changing the x86config to use the standard vga and not your video card. to make it work otherwise you will most likely have to recompile you kernel.

Maybe it'll work with XFree 4.4.0? I got my IGP 340 to work out of the box using the radeon
driver... I had to do a lot of tweaking to get it to work under XFree 4.3.0
