Can't mount floppy drive

I can't mount my floppy. I get the following message "You must specify the file system type."

I am in root, have a floppy in the drive.

I used - mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

Redhat 6.0
kernel 2.2.5 hedwig
IBM thinkpad 600E

Thanks

The option, -t, is used to specify the file system type (this is in the manpage), or put either auto or the type in third column of the entry in /etc/fstab, e.g.

/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy vfat noauto,user,rw
