Can't load Redhat.Enterprise.Linux.V5.UPDATE.4 iso


i had laptop hp pavilion DV6 1330 ev

when i try to install Redhat.Enterprise.Linux.V5.UPDATE.4 from my boot dvd it give me the first menu to install redhat graphical or text mode

but when i press any one of them gives me ACPI error & hang every thing

and hang every thing

plz guys help as fast as u can

ok guys i found the solution


so to help any one have the same problem :

choose f4 then write linux acpi=off noapic no lapic

another problem appeared :

now i have the screen of what type of media contains the package to be installed ?

options to choose from :

local cdroom
hard drive
ntfs image
http
ftp


i choose the local cdroom & hard drive gives me unable to find any devices of the type needed for this installation type would u like manually select your driver or use a driver

Since you're using RedHat Enterprise, my first suggestion is to CALL REDHAT since it's 'urgent' for you. You're paying for support with your RHEL subscription.

If you're NOT paying for a subscription, load a different, community-supported distro, like CentOS (if you REALLY need RHEL), Fedora Core, openSUSE, Mandriva, etc. Chances are, they'll support more 'consumer-grade' hardware (like webcams, sound, etc.), than RHEL will out of the box, since RHEL is built for servers, not laptops.
