Cable and Fedora 10 on Lenovo S10 internet trouble connection


Hi i am trying to connect to the internet through lan 10/100 to my cable modem , but fedora linux doesnt seem to recognise it , it attempts to connect and then says disconnected

any idea on how to solve this to try and establish a connection

it says under webster 2000 scientific atlanta
eth1 and says
requesting a nework address from the wired network

than it just stops and says diconnected
