Buying a new laptop with Linux
Hi Guys,
I'm new to Linux. I want to buy a new laptop with Linux as the Operating System but I'm quite hesitant because our work environment uses Windows operating system. Will a new Linux laptop connect seamlessly to the internet though our servers are Windows based? Your advices will be very helpful and will always be welcome. Regards, Ze |

The servers have nothing to do with the question whether you'll be able to seamlessly connect to the internet. If you're talking about wired connection, probably any laptop would do. When it comes to wifi, I'd research it as some laptops might have wifi cards/chipsets that would require a bit of tweaking to get it up and running. For example, my last two laptops had to use ndiswrapper and a windows driver to get me in the world of wireless internet.
