Building GCC for an HP Mini-Note 2133
I have an HP Mini-Note 2133 netbook that has SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP1 installed. The processor is a VIA C7-M.
Unfortunately I cannot find a compiler on the machine. As I have another machine running OpenSuse 11.1 I was wondering what is involved in building a compiler that I could then copy onto the Mini-Note. Does anyone have any idea? Regards andrew_d |
Welcome to LQ.
Suse 10 Enterprise .. Building a 'gcc' on Suse 11.1 : not possible. Will depend on 'glibc-2.9' , Suse 10 E.. has 2.4 . No install DVD ? No Suse support any more ? You can get a copy of the 5? packages from my old install DVD. Send an email, and I will attach packages to a return mail. You will have to check the glibc version. (( Suse 10 OSS : version 2.3 )). rpm -qa | grep glibc .. will show, what you have. ..... |
