Since Fedora 11 has reached its EOL (2010-06-25) updates should be no longer available. What did you do to update yum?

Might try to reestablish your connection by using system-config-network. Select the Hardware tab and create a generic modem,
connected to /dev/rfcomm0.

Consider booting with a previous kernel just to test the functionality. Check our grub.conf for old entries.
Perhaps your last 'yum update' upgraded the kernel and that caused the problem.
As michaelk said, Fedora 11 is outdated. Why don't you give a try to Fedora 13 ?
